It was very cold and it very wet as the Dialogue Collective and invited friends took a one and half mile stroll from the steps of London's Victoria & Albert Museum to the warm and welcoming arms of the Nags Head pub in Kinnerton Street. The 'walk and talk' was part of 'Collection', a series of events promoted by the Crafts Council that ran alongside COLLECT in 2007. The members carried carefully selected 'collections' in their briefcases (childhood collections, obsessional collections, incidental collections, accidental collections, etc) which were later presented in the Nags Head. During the walk they led dialogues on the themes of collecting, the context of collections and rules of collecting. The weather cropped up in conversation quite a bit as well. But this was England.
